This is an initiative by the Kenya Airports Authority (KAA)  to stimulate both horticultural export volumes and airport utilization in Uasin Gishu County and nearby areas. The initiative supports fresh beans, broccoli and avocado value chain and  delivers value to smallholder farmers and exporters based in this area. This initiative has led to enhanced regional economic growth through increased horticultural exports at the airport.

Implementation Status

The Eldoret International Airport Export Promotion Initiative is an ongoing investment in cargo handling and cold storage facilities and has improved export efficiency.
